Many breast augmentation patients take opiate pain medications after their surgeries. Although these drugs are effective, they can lead to unpleasant side effects, and they aren't appropriate for everyone. EXPAREL offers an alternative to oral opiate pain medications. It is a topical product that surgeons apply directly to the breast pocket during surgery. Over the next 72 hours, EXPAREL's time-released formula slowly applies anesthetic for long-lasting comfort that may reduce or eliminate the need for oral medication.

If you're selected to participate in our research study, you'll preview your potential results with our VECTRA® 3-D imaging system before undergoing breast augmentation with either Dr. Poulos or Dr. Hvistendahl. During your surgery, your surgeon will apply EXPAREL to both breasts before finishing the procedure as normal. After a few days, you will fill out a 1-minute questionnaire about whether you feel any difference in discomfort between your breasts.

Your answers can help Dr. Poulos and Dr. Hvistendahl make breast augmentation a better experience for future patients, and it takes only a minute of your time. If you're one of the first 50 candidates to sign up, you'll receive $2,000 off your procedure!
